Facebook gives you a lot of opportunities to build traffic, especially when it comes to meeting people. Today I am going to be showing you how to meet and greet your first real facebook friend.
Finding a friend on facebook is fairly easy, all you need is to locate the person that you want as a friend, request this person’s friendship, and then wait for that person to respond to you with an acceptance of your friendship request. And that’s it. You and the other guy or girl will then be facebook friends.
That’s it. That’s really all there is to getting a friend on facebook.
A few notes: Here are a few notes that I want to leave you with… be sure that you know the person that you are adding as a friend, or at least read their profile and figure out why you’d want them as a friend of yours – are you just trying to showboat and say hey look I have a friend on facebook, or are you trying to connect with someone that shares your passion?
Another thing I wanted to say, going off of the last note, is that you have to be on the same page as the person you are wanting to be friends with. Because if the two of you don’t have anything in common then your friendship request may be rejected, ignored or pointless. And I said the relationship could be pointless because if there is no common goal then you and the other individual will have nothing to talk about, therefore the relationship cannot move forward.
The last thing I will say is that you have to be patient. Sometimes people are super busy in their everyday lives and don’t always have time to respond to a friend request. So if the person hasn’t accepted you as a friend of theirs within the first 48hours give the person a little time to get back to you, he or she probably hasn’t been signed onto facebook in a couple of days. The person may also want to take a look at your profile first to see if you are someone that they feel they’d want to be friends with. So again, just have a little patience.
Alright now go on over to facebook and make your first friend.
